Description
Insights, tools and strategies to align, develop and lead your TEAM!
Event Details
Many organizations use the term team to classify workgroups with high levels of cooperation and cohesiveness. Yet too often, "team" is more of an aspiration than a reality and the path to becoming a team is uncertain. A team is “a small number of people with complementary skills who are committed to a common purpose, performance goals, and approach for which they hold themselves fully and jointly accountable for the team’s results.” (Katzenbach and Smith)
In this course, Chuck Sampson, Organizational Development Consultant and co-leader in Millsaps Else School’s Advanced Applied Leadership Program, will offer insight into the distinct needs at each stage of a work group’s development, offer practical tools for aligning team goals, roles, and responsibilities, and introduce strategies that move a group to high levels of performance and goal attainment. This course also offers an opportunity for intact work groups to improve team performance in “real time” – to learn about team development as they address the specific challenges and opportunities unique to their members and purpose.
